Policy takes the guesswork out of who should have access and provides escalation path.

How are these terms defined - functional role/grouping, system function, data area, data scope.

Extension - kind of like fine grain on a screen. SZADEGR/SHADEGR.

FGAC is applied at the Oracle level, making it more efficient. At the query level. Row level filtering - limit segment of records they can seek.

How does this affect student service? Would need to do filtering at the SPRIDEN level. Could filter at the SGASTDN record.
