Next Admissions, then Registrar

June meeting (6/5) Summer All-Staff Division meeting

  • Recognition event to mirror President’s Excellence Awards

  • Awards based on what we value as a division

    • What do we value in each other and the work we do?

    • Selection criteria

      • Nomination

      • Selection

    • Nominations can come from internal or external

    • Excellent service, regular volunteer, leadership/ownership, collaboration/partnerships

    • Noms must be supported by supervisor

    • Open to the number of awards given out: 6 or 7.

    • Concerned about the extroverts nominations. Those who do quiet work.

    • Could we consider years of service as part of recognition.

    • Are we concerned about departments nominating within.

    • Senior leadership not considered for award.

  • Look at U of Miami nomination shout out website

    • Can submit nomination letter as part of the form (maybe use Qualtrics or MS Forms).

    • Maybe we should have an EM landing page to better define who we are.

    • What’s the value of these departments stitched together.

    • Womb-to-tomb

  • The physical awards themselves

    • crystal blocks plus money/credit like GrubHub

  • Awards

    • Service - could we modify this slightly to include time in EM?

    • Efficiency/Quality

    • Collaboration

    • Creative solutions

    • Integrity

    • Teamwork

    • Service to others

    • Maybe have a plaque with all winners names each year.

  • Location, attire

    • Invite family members of winners

    • End of the day

    • Glazer Club, Tea Room

  • May be able to do a video.

  • Acknowledge new staff.

  • DEI-ish award - committed to access
