Ideal state:
Currently, CL is making changes to the model to make outputs more user friendly and make the model set-up to be more adaptable to allow different classifications of requirements/courses to be changed centrally.
Heather is analyzing where we landed when we did pre-reg in May - which courses did students take for a given bucket? Informs the courses that are added to the bucket.
How can advising include new courses in the model?
Waiting for API to be tested and released to production. Then, we can testing and running the model based on previous year’s cohort.
March/April - modify model based on previous year’s numbers.
April 1 - distribute report to NTC Deans, depts. 189 report (course demand) report. Joint effort between NTC and Colette.
On May 1 (deposit deadline), we can use incoming students to test.
Pre-registration in late May.
Starting January through pre-reg making sure students' survey interest is updated. Survey should be sent out earlier.

Problem: Pre-reg is concurrent with commencement preparation, which is already a peak period.

Students pre-reg priority is based on primary major or pre-med attribute. Create attributes for pre-med + certain majors (PM+engineering, PM+SPHU, PM+NSCI/CELL, PM+UNDB)

ID numbers should never be released via ticket, phone, or email. Students can access their ID numbers via Gibson. Students needing ID numbers for transcript orders can enter their SSN or 9 0's in the ID number field.
