Posting SoPA portfolio credit
Portfolio process
SoPA advisor meets with student to discuss portfolio interest and outline the process.
Advisor connects the student with Delila to discuss potential courses for portfolio credit.
If Delila approves:
Undergrads are registered for PAPL 1000 (Registrar registers via incident submission).
Grads complete a self-guided non-credit portfolio prep course
Once the preparatory requirement is completed, the student has 6 months to complete the portfolio(s).
Students are registered for one placeholder course per portfolio.
The portfolio is assessed by faculty, which takes 2-3 weeks.
When approved by faculty, Delila is informed and informs Micahla, who informs the Registrar’s Office to post the credit with the following information:
Student ID
Course number
Credit hours
Instructor
Term the course should be added to
Portfolio credit limits
Undergrad - 24 credits
Grad - 6 credits
Posting the credit
Create a section for each equivalent course for portfolio credit
Mark it as tuition waived
Grade posted as CR

ID numbers should never be released via ticket, phone, or email. Students can access their ID numbers via Gibson. Students needing ID numbers for transcript orders can enter their SSN or 9 0's in the ID number field.
