Viewing and managing a student's active/inactive status (SGASTDN/SFAREGS)
A student’s active/inactive status is viewed and managed in SGASTDN or SFAREGS.
If the student is not registered for the effective term, status is managed in SGASTDN.
If the student is registered for the effective term, status is managed in SFAREGS.
SGASTDN
In the SGASTDN key block, enter the student ID and term. Go.
You will see student data display in the Learner tab.
Create a new effective term. On the New Term field, click the lookup button. Select Create New Effective Term.
Enter the new effective term.
Change Student Status to the desired status. Save. If registration is opened, student should be able to register for the term. Save.
SFAREGS
Enter the student’s ID number and term. Go.
Access the Student Term tab.
Change the value in the Student Status field to the appropriate status.
Save.

ID numbers should never be released via ticket, phone, or email. Students can access their ID numbers via Gibson. Students needing ID numbers for transcript orders can enter their SSN or 9 0's in the ID number field.
