Excluding AP and IB scores and their earned credit

When a student elects to take a course at TU for which they have previously earned credit via AP or IB examination, credit must be removed from SHATCKN and test scores must be suppressed in SOATEST

Records requiring exclusions are sent to us via the Repeat Report with RRRR Info (CR-REGR-052)_(term).

AP scores

Removing the credit (SHATCKN)

  1. Enter the student’s ID number and first term of attendance and click Go.

  2. In the Course Detail section, click on the course credit earned by AP examination.

  3. Click the Delete button. You will see the following notification; click OK.

CAUTION! Students may already have a posted grade for the course at TU in their first term. This means they will have 2 records for the same course in SHATCKN for that term. Take care to ONLY delete the AP record, which can be identified by its -98 section number.
