Correcting a prematurely ended program (SFAREGS/SGASTDN)
Problem:
NTC student has one program. NTC student is admitted to graduate program as priority 20 in a future term. NTC student adds a second undergrad program. The graduate admission causes the second program added to end itself, which prevents visibility of the degree audit for that program.
Solution:
Identify the semester of graduate program admission from SAAADMS.
Access the SGASTDN record for the term of graduate program admission. Note the program, catalog term, and field of study.
Change the graduate program to 30. Save.
Add the second undergrad program as priority 20. Save.
Check the degree audit to ensure all audits are available.
Problem:
UG student applies to graduate, but degree not yet awarded. Student is admitted to GR program for future term. Student has no time ticket and cannot register for future due to a mismatch between future term class and curricula. (Future term curricula will reflect UG as priority 10 with GR as priority 20.) RO or graduate admission office mistakenly updates future term record so that GR program is priority 10 to generate the time ticket. It allows the student to register, but also causes the UG program to end inappropriately, which prevents the UG audit from displaying as an option to view in Degree Works.
Solution:
Do not update curriculum priorities until the degree has been awarded.
To restore the record:
SFAREGS GR admit term - Add UG as 30. Update GR to 20 and UG to 10 - OR - Change GR to 20, Insert UG as priority 10.
Current term SFAREGS will still show as UG ended, but the audit will be available to view.
