Understanding program status and activity on a student's curriculum record (SGASTDN/SFAREGS)

The programs affecting billing, reporting, degree audit, and other processing are those which are BOTH active with the current box checked.

Programs that are not both current and active reflect some change in the student’s curriculum history, which should be retained. Therefore, disregard and make no changes the following types of historical records in the curriculum record:

• Inactive with the current box checked

  Open

  

   

• Inactive with the current box unchecked

  Open

  

   

• Active with the current box unchecked

  Open

  

   

Users maintaining student curriculum records should check the View Current/Active Curricula checkbox in SFAREGS/SGASTDN before clicking Go. This setting allows you to only see the current and active programs which is much less distracting and reduces confusion. Leaving this checkbox empty displays all current-active, current-inactive, not-current-active, and not-current-active programs, which can be overwhelming and confusing.
