Overriding the equivalent level when articulating transfer coursework

Overriding the equivalent level when articulating transfer coursework

Use case: A student completed an undergraduate degree at TU with the UG level. The student later took courses elsewhere and then matriculated in a second undergraduate program at TU. The student’s advisor is entering coursework in SHATAEQ, but the courses aren’t being picked up by the audit.

Even when using Override Edit in SHATAEQ, the value in the Equivalent Level field automatically populates with UG. This prevents the U2 audit from picking up the courses.

  1. Remove any courses from SHATAEQ.

  2. Create a new attendance period in SHATRNS.

    1. Enter the institution code. Save.

    2. Next block to the Transfer Attendance Period.

    3. Enter the Attendance Period and Effective Term (these should be the same).

    4. Enter the level the coursework should apply to. Save.

  3. Enter coursework in SHATAEQ and articulate as normal. Note that the value in the Equivalent Level field now shows as U2.
