Adding printers to a Mac

Adding a printer

  1. Open “System Preferences”

  2. Click on “Printers and Scanners”

  3. Click the “+” symbol on the bottom left of the screen

  4. Click on the world/globe symbol in the top center of window

Printer near Colette’s office (Versalink C605)

  1. Type 129.81.45.12 in the “Address” field

  2. Type “VersaLink C605” in the “Name” field

  3. Type “Registrar” in “Location”

  4. Leave “Queue” and “Use” blank

  5. Leave “Protocol” as automatically set

  6. Hit “Add” on the bottom right corner of window

Top printer in the transcript room (VersaLink C600)

  1. Type 129.81.96.66 in the “Address” field

  2. Type “VersaLink C600 Top” in the “Name” field

  3. Leave “Queue,” “Location,” and “Use” blank

  4. Leave “Protocol” as automatically set

  5. Hit “Add” on the bottom right corner of window

Bottom printer in the transcript room (VersaLink C600)

  1. Type 129.81.45.18 in the “Address” field

  2. Type “VersaLink C600 Bottom” in the “Name” field

  3. Leave “Queue,” “Location,” and “Use” blank

  4. Leave “Protocol” as automatically set

  5. Hit “Add” on the bottom right corner of window

Big printer in the transcript room (AltaLink C8055)

  1. Go to https://www.support.xerox.com/en-us/product/altalink-c8000-series/downloads?platform=macOS10_15&language=en

  2. Under “Drivers” select “macOS Print and Scan Driver Installer”

  3. Agree and Download

  4. Open linked file from downloads folder (it should say XeroxDrivers_ )

  5. Open the file

  6. Allow system to open

  7. Select “Continue,” “continue,” and “install”

  8. On the next page, on the top right of the window select:

9. Enter 129.81.96.68 in the “IP Address or DNS Name:” field

10. Hit “continue” and Close
