Processing undergraduate interdivisional transfers (IDTs)
SoPA students can move to NTC (and vice versa) via an interdivisional transfer (IDT). We receive IDT forms from the receiving college.
We should review/update the following data in Banner for the effective term:
Min/max hours (SFAREGS)
NTC students have a minimum of 12 hours and a maximum of 19. (NTC students are restricted to 17 through the priority registration period and increased to 19 when the priority reg period ends.)
Curricula (SFAREGS)
Change the curricula for the effective term as indicated on the IDT form. If you’re not sure what the program or major/minor/cert code should be, ask someone on Leadership Team.
For the curricula, the catalog year should be the effective term.
For the field of study:
If the previous SoPA major is the same as the new NTC major/minor, for the catalog year, use the same SoPA catalog year for the major/minor.
If the SoPA major is different from the new NTC major/minor, use 000000 as the catalog year.
Student type (SFAREGS)
Check the student type to make sure it’s accurate.
Advisor (SGAADVR)
If requested, change the advisor. If not requested, remove the previous advisor and inform the new college so that they can add the new advisor.
Attributes (SGASADD)
If moving from SoPA to NTC, remove SoPA attributes.
