  • Discussed possible deployment of block registration for Scholar Societies in May.

  • Clarified that a time conflict approval gives implied approval to waive capacity.

  • Colette will finish up reviewing Ocelot content and will hand off to Denise for content uploading and variable creation.

Developed a test case for block registration and started building. Uploaded the lists of students. Last year, it looked like there were 17-18 students per society, so I will be monitoring to determine what our tipping point will for using the bulk process vs. individual maintenance.

Registration URL variable is not displaying as an option when I try to add it to the Registration Sentence in Ocelot.

Block registration test case

  • Created 4 blocks: SSA, SSB, SSC, SSD

  • Added courses to the blocks

  • Used last year’s Society Scholars list to identify 60 students (15/block, 4 lists)

  • Created selection ID for each list of students

  • Uploaded lists of students using GJAJFLU and GJRPSIM. GJRPSIM was run 4 times, once for each list.

  • Used SGAMSTU to register the blocks courses to the lists of students. This was done 1 time for the SSA block only.

  • Reviewed both sections in SFASLST to confirm registration.

  • Pradeep ran the script to create the Oracle policies for the domain SB_SFTREGS_VBS.

  • I set up the rules for group TUL_REG_BS in GOAFGAC, but was still unable to register students. So, I set up the rules in GORFDPL, as we have done in the past, but is not Ellucian best practice. Still unable to register students. When I attempted registration, all students had another registration session open.

  • I refined the SQL in GORFDPL. Cannot register students, another session is in progress.

  • Next step - clear out GORFDPL and GOAFGAC and start again.
