DRAFT Term resignation vs. program resignation

DRAFT Term resignation vs. program resignation

Term resignation occurs when a student drops/withdraws from all courses in a particular semester.

Program resignation occurs when a student declares intent to no longer matriculate in their current program.

When a student decides to resign from the term, the school should prepare and submit the resignation form to the Registrar’s Office.

The Registrar’s Office does not enter program resignation in Banner, but if the student is registered for courses, a resignation form is required.

If the student is in their first semester, once the resignation is complete, the school should delete all attributes from SGASADD, advisors from SGAADVR, and the learner record in SGASTDN.

Program resignation is not entered in Banner and does not appear on the transcript.
