Getting started in Confluence
Atlassian’s guide to getting started in Confluence >
Find what you’re looking for
To search the BPL, you can browse by topic or by tag. You can also see a complete list of articles.
The search function is robust, so try out the Search box, too.
Create and edit pages
Let’s play! Each user is assigned his/her own personal space. To access it, from the top nav bar click on Spaces. Choose your name from the menu.
To edit, click the pencil icon in the upper right corner, which will open a WYSIWYG editor.
To create a new page, click the blue create button at the top of the page.
There are loads of other fun things like macros and formatting, which are useful in creating an engaging page layout.
My favorite articles to help you get started with creating and editing pages:
Insert links (we are only working in the new editor)
Use symbols, emojis, and special characters (because it’s fun to have fun)
Format your page (we are only working in the new editor)
Changing your email notification frequency
Click your picture in the upper right and select Settings from the menu.
Click Email in the left panel under Your Settings.
Click the Edit button in the Email Settings main panel.
Check and uncheck until your heart’s content and click Submit.
