Using Slate to workflow transfer coursework

RE: Nursing program

Slate offers workflow functionality to make faculty approval for transfer coursework less manual.

Can set up articulation database in Slate, but would need to be set up.

Can set up faculty reviewers in Slate, but depends on faculty appetite for this.

Create a bin for each school. Requires front-end training/buy-in from faculty.

Every school has a designated reviewer who has access to all syllabi. For specific questions, can download PDF to send to content expert for review via email. It’s slow at first, but turnaround time will get smaller once patterns emerge.

SoPA and NTC writing requirements are different.

We can feed this from Slate to Banner, but it’s a heavy lift for a temporary fix.

Even if Slate just sends nudges to faculty, it’s helpful.

Having two processes (BSN vs. NTC) for the same faculty can be problematic.
