The method used for certification differs by certifier and level.
The Major/Minor Certification tool is used by schools to verify that undergraduate major/minor requirements have been met. Major/minor certifiers are faculty.
The Commencement tool is used by NTC to record preliminary, final, and partner degree certification checks of the NTC Core Curriculum and review major/minor certification. We also call this the “Degree Cert tool”.
Certification in SZADEGR is used by graduate directors or other school administrative staff to certify graduate students for graduation. NTC also uses SZADEGR to certify graduates once they have verified all undergraduate degree requirements have been met as well as indicating honors.
