Viewing grade entry/change history

The Grades block will show information about when the course was originally graded as well as a history of any changes.

In this example:

  • The grade originally entered is Sequence Number 1 and has a change reason of OE Original Entry, and the Grade Date field indicates it was entered on 5/12/24.

  • The grade was changed to F on 6/11/24 (Sequence Number 2)

  • The grade was changed again on 7/12/24 to C (Sequence Number 3).

Click in the Grade field to see more information about each grade record.

Sequence Number 1

The instructor entered a grade of I. (TUREG1 is a system username.)

Sequence Number 2

The grade was rolled from an I to F. This occurred as a result of a batch processing job that rolls I grades to F grades 30 days after the final exam. See also: NTC Policy on Incomplete (I) Grades

  • For students who have been granted an extension, the instructor should inform both the student and our office so that we can enter it in the Extension Date field. A date in this field will prevent the 30-day I-to-F roll job from changing the grade to F until the extension date has passed.

  • Graduate students have up to 12 months to complete requirements to resolve an incomplete grade, including the time needed for the instructor to submit the grade change and the Registrar’s Office to process. See also: OGPS Policy on Incomplete Grades

Sequence Number 3

The grade was changed to C by Registrar’s Office personnel. This usually occurs as a result of a grade change request sent to our office.
