The method used for degree conferral differs by certifier and level.

The Major/Minor Certification tool is used by schools to verify that undergraduate major/minor requirements have been met. Major/minor certifiers are faculty.

Using the Major/Minor Certification tool to certify degree completion (faculty)

The Commencement tool is used by NTC to record preliminary, final, and partner degree certification checks of the NTC Core Curriculum and review major/minor certification

Certifying students for graduation (NTC)

Certifying students for graduation (SoPA)

Certification in SZADEGR is used by graduate directors or other school administrative staff to certify graduate students for graduation. NTC also uses SZADEGR to certify graduates once they have verified all undergraduate degree requirements have been met as well as indicating honors.
