Certain populations of students are given special registration PINs that may give them an earlier roll-in time than the students' registration time tickets. PINs can be batch assigned via the Appworx jobs listed below. PINs can be manually updated on SPAAPIN. NOTE:

PIN assignment jobs MUST be done in the order below, as the first PIN applied to a student’s record will be the one Banner gives preference to.

  1. Athletes REG_PIN_ASSIGN_SPRT_M

    1. Assigns the athletic PIN to any students coded as athletes in the current semester

    2. Athletes roll in at the first registration window

      1. Athletics will also send a list of student managers, etc. who will also get the athletic PIN

        1. Use REG_PIN_ASSIGN_BATCH_C to apply athletic PINs to these additional students

  1. BSM-MAC StudentsREG_PIN_ASSIGN_BSM_C

    1. Assigns PINs to BSM-MAC dual degree students based on the number of graduate-level credits the students have earned

    2. Allows UG students to roll in with GRs

      1. NOTE: Sometimes students are admitted to the BSM-MAC dual degree after this PIN assign job has been run. These students will need to be updated manually in SPAAPIN.

  1. JR year abroad

    1. Allows students who were abroad, and whose transcripts may not have arrived from their abroad institutions to roll in with the first Juniors (86 earned credits)

      1. Run a REGR-4030 class roster to get list of students studying abroad in the previous fall term.

      2. Assign the 444 PIN to the students generated in the report  - REG_PIN_ASSIGN_BATCH_C

  1. Honors Weekend

    1. Create separate PINs for the two Honors Weekend events

    2. Assign these PINs to participating students – get list from Admissions - REG_PIN_ASSIGN_BATCH_C

  2. Incoming FTFs and Spring Scholars

    1. Create a PIN for June 1 for incoming fall FTFs, November 1 for incoming Spring Scholars

    2. Assign the PIN to incoming students – get list from Admissions - REG_PIN_ASSIGN_BATCH_C

      1. This same population of students will also need advising holds placed on them - REG_APPLY_HOLD_C

    3. For summer and fall registration, PINs must be assigned to Spring Scholars as they will be coded as N student types until SHRTYPE is run at the end of the semester (after priority registration)

  3. Zero-hour PINsREG_PIN_ASSIGN_RAND_M

    1. Assigns random PINs to students with 0 earned hours

      1. Reserve one full day in November for 0 hour students (fall FTFs)

      2. Always run this process last
