This article describes how we complete the hiring process with student employees/interns. At the beginning of each fall, HR hosts a job fair.

HCM is accessible via Gibson. From the Staff tab, select HCM Manager Self-Service.

Determine if the student was previously employed by the university by searching the HCM Student Manager.

  • Students not previously employed by the university must complete a new hire packet.

  • As the student for their full legal name, TU ID number, and email. The hourly wage is $10/hr.

Send a new hire packet.

  • Payment Type (hourly)

  • Then create placement, search for the student (if they don’t populate, go to ‘new student hire packet’

  • Now the student gets invited to complete the packet

    • I-9’s-> section 1= can be processed on website

    • I-9’s-> section 2= need to be completed in person in the HR office at University Square, 200 Broadway

Once the packet is complete and submitted:

  • I will get an email to assign them to the office

  • Will need to know how much they will be getting paid and the acc #/ Nat acct. that we want their pay to come out of

  • Then, place the student in the Registrar’s office
