Term Configuration is the inclusive term we use for all activities surrounding student registration in an upcoming term. Term Configuration needs to be completed before any student registration activities can be performed.  SOATERM needs to be configured before the course roll can take place.  Upcoming Spring semesters will be configured in in the fall, in or around October.  The upcoming Summer, Fall and Year Long semesters will be configured simultaneously, in or around February.

The following are high-level tasks that need to be completed:

  1. Academic Calendar

  2. Call for Parts of Term

  3. Build Calendar on Registrar Website

  4. Create Term Config Templates and Checklists

  5. Build and Configure SOATERM

  6. Review and Configure GTVSDAX - global Banner settings

  7. Configure GORTCTL - drop last class

  8. Roll and Configure Banner Tables

  9. Request and Configure Table Dumps - for upload into Banner

  10. Configure Waitlists

  11. Time Ticketing
