Reporting

I need a list of students, courses, or other Banner data.

I need a report of XXXX student, course, other Banner Data.

The BIA Team in IT generates these types of reports. If you need any Banner data (not just student data as the form is called, but any data that lives in Banner), you can request a report from Tulane IT here.

Major/minor GPA

What is my major/minor GPA? Can I change my audit to have a better major/minor GPA? Can you provide verify [student]'s GPA when they attended Tulane?

What is my major/minor GPA? Can I change my audit to have a better major/minor GPA? Can you provide verify [student]'s GPA when they attended Tulane?

Tulane University does not record major/minor GPA on the transcript and cannot verify major/minor GPA for third parties. While major/minor GPA does appear on the degree audit for certain programs, this is intended only as an advising tool to ensure that students satisfy minimum requirements within the major/minor as prescribed by the University Catalog. The registrar’s office will not alter a student’s degree audit to manipulate the calculation of major/minor GPA without departmental consent. If a major/minor GPA is required for an educational or employment application, we encourage students to calculate the major/minor GPA based on coursework they used to complete that major/minor. Again, the major/minor GPA is not recorded on the transcript and cannot be verified.

My time ticket is wrong.

 My time ticket is wrong.

Time tickets are assigned based on the number of earned credit hours. Earned hours do not include in-progress credit hours. The Time Ticketing Schedule lists when the registration windows open for a given range of earned credit hours, by date. Time tickets open hourly 8:00am-4:00pm CST based on earned credits, highest to lowest. Based on your XXX earned credits, your time ticket should open on Day, Date at Time. I just checked your time ticket, which matches this projection. Your assigned time ticket is correct.

Diplomas

When will I receive my diploma (recent grads)?

When will I receive my diploma (recent grads)?

Type the answer Diplomas begin shipping 4-6 weeks after degree conferral, which for Fall/December 2022 was December 31, 2022. When your diploma ships, you will receive confirmation of shipment, and in that same email you will receive instructions on how to access your certified electronic diploma, which you can also find here: https://registrar.tulane.edu/sites/default/files/Electronic_Diplomas%E2%80%93Graduates_After_2020.pdf. Electronic diplomas are available as soon as the paper copy ships, but not before.

Once shipped, we've found that diplomas usually arrive within about a week to domestic addresses, but can take longer if shipped internationally.

If you haven't received notification of shipment after 6 weeks past degree conferral (February 13), please get in touch with our office.

Graduation

I have a Grad App Rcvd hold - what does this mean?

I have a Grad App Rcvd hold - what does this mean?

When you submitted your application for graduation, a “grad app received” hold was placed on your record. This hold only prevents registration for a future term, which for graduates, can be problematic. This holds does not affect your eligibility to graduate, nor does it prevent access to your unofficial transcript or ordering an official transcript. If you have any questions about completion of your degree requirements, contact your academic advisor.
