Articulation and roll to history of transfer coursework for a specific student is done in SHATAEQ.
Articulation and rolling to history
Enter the student’s ID and transfer institution number. Go.
Enter/select the following values:
Attendance period: Check SHATRNS to determine if the student has previous attendance periods for this institution. Use the next number in the sequence. Is this correct?
Term: What is this term for transient students? For incoming students, it’s the first term of attendance at Tulane.

3. SAVE.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each course.
5. Select Perform Articulation from the Tools menu. SAVE.
6. Next block to the Equivalent Roll Block.
7. Choose Roll to History from the History Indicator drop down menu in the Equivalent Roll block.
Making changes to a student’s articulation
In SHATAEQ’s Equivalent Roll block, select the Delete from History from the History Indicator drop down. SAVE.
Tools > Perform Unarticulation. SAVE.
Make changes
Tools > Perform Articulation. SAVE.
Roll to History. SAVE.
More about articulation
When you perform articulation:
Y displays in the Articulate Indicator field.
N will display if no articulation is performed.
Overriding articulation requires you to enter a value of O in the Articulate Indicator field.
When you un-articulate:
Y becomes null
O does not change
All records with N are not unarticulated, as no articulation was previously performed
When courses are rolled to history, they are no longer visible in SHATAEQ. To make changes, they must be deleted from history.
