CampusESP - determine if we can expand our current service to include FERPA waiver management.

  • What this means for us: Hiring additional staff will be required when implementing live chat.

• We are one of a few institutions using fine-grained access.

  • What this means for us: While our colleagues in this are limited, we have the opportunity to set best practices and share the benefits of FGAC.

• We are one of about 25% of institutions who have moved to Responsive Dashboard.

  • What this means for us: We can be a beacon for those who are considering or in the transition.

• Other than counting processed forms, there is no consensus on how to track how much work a team or an individual has or produces.

  • What this means for us: We could very well be on the cutting edge of a quantitative analysis of work and whether we are adequately staffed to handle needs. We have an opportunity to share our experience with incident management.

• NAACO is an organization composed of commencement professionals.

  • What this means for us: Encourage the graduation coordinator (and anyone else interested) to join to contribute and gain from the existing body of knowledge.

• AACRAO maintains a database for higher ed policy called the Higher Ed Policy Central.

  • What this means for us: We can compare policies across AACRAO members to our needs to build policies - why reinvent the wheel when other brilliant people have already done so?

• Management of FERPA waivers/third party access is not limited to SSB.

  • What this means for us: Our campus already uses CampusESP to communicate with families, which can be leveraged to manage FERPA waivers.
