Blog from March, 2023

If advisors ask us to load audits for specific students, this is a specific back end process handled by the degree audit team. They'll handle these requests as they roll in on Teams.

If we get any phone requests from advisors (unlikely) you could transfer them to the degree audit team or take down the advisor's name and the student's name/ID and provide it to the degree audit team.

Top Scholars participants who have not deposited, (which is most), must log into Gibson using their Tulane ID as the username. Their password is a PIN they received from Admission. These are the credentials they have been using in all of their dealing with admission.

The attached list is a list of these credentials. Please keep this secure. If someone does not know their username and pin, you can give it to them after confirming their permanent address and non-Tulane email address.

NON-DEPOSITED TOP SCHOLARS STUDENTS, which is most, must log-in to Gibson first using said credentials and then click on "Schedule of Classes" link on the left column of their Gibson Student tab in order to "Log In" and register. For these non-deposited students, logging straight into the schedule of classes does not work.

NTC Advisor of the Day

As we prepare for Top Scholars, Priority Registration, and all the fun to begin, please inform students who are having difficulty contacting their advisors to connect virtually with the Advisor of the Day.

Based on Celeste Lay’s 3/8 email “Fall Course Registration & Advising”

Due to the compressed time between spring break and the opening of registration, NTC advising will offer drop-in advising opportunities 3/6-3/31.

We may be interested in this as reference material if students report they’re unable to see their advisor regarding their registration problems/concerns.
