Roll and Configure Banner Tables
under construction
Instructions for rolling and configuring various Banner tables:
Use the TEMPLATE - https://tulane.box.com/s/kveaukqq54vszdw9i10112m12j3x3vf3
Since students register for both summer and fall simultaneously, and summer term configuration is particularly onerous:
When performing spring term configurations, roll all tables but SFRRSTS, SFRRFCR, SZVECCP, and SFRCTRL for the whole year (10, 20, 30, and 40 terms)
The above listed tables must be rolled/configured differently, so they should only be rolled for the term(s) being configured during the current configuration processes.
All tables should be checked for errors even if they are not being rolled in the current term(s) configuration.
Dummy dates must be entered in SOATERM for the year-long term before rolling tables.
Tables are rolled from spring-to-spring, fall-to-fall, etc.
For the REG_ROLL_TERM_CONFIG_M process to run properly, the tables for the prior term(s) being copied must exactly match the newly created records.
If new POTs are being created, they must be created in SOATERM for the prior/copied term (with dummy dates) before the roll can occur.
If a POT from the copied term is not being used in the upcoming term, it must be created in the new term, then removed after the rolls have completed.
This applied to the Class Scheduling course roll job as well.
SFAESTS (SFBESTS and SFBRFST tables)
This form defines enrollment statuses.
Use generic/default dates based on what was used in prior semesters.
SFARSTS (SFRRSTS and SFRRFCR tables)
These tables do not roll.
Use the saved table dumps to create new SFRRFCR and SFRRSTS tables for the configuration term(s) based on the completed POT template.
Once changes to the new files have been completed, send the new files back to Joe Van Meter, requesting that he import them into the appropriate Banner tables.
SFAMHRS (SFRMHRS table)
This form sets default minimum and maximum enrolled hours based on students' level and college.
During priority registration periods for fall and spring, NTC students’ default maximum should be set to 17 hours.
This will be raised to 19 after all student registration times have rolled in.
Max hours are updated via the following process: https://tulaneregistrar.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/REGISTRAR/pages/42532899/Batch+updating+students+maximum+registered+credits+in+a+term+-+REG+MAX+HRS+C
SFAROVR (SFRROVR table)
This form drives registration overrides.
These rules do not change frequently, compare to prior terms' settings.
SFATMST (SFRTMST and SFRTMSL tables)
This form drives students' time statuses based on level, college, and number of registered credits.
These rules do not change frequently, compare to prior terms' settings.
SZAECCP (custom Page Builder form)
Roll for current configuration term(s) only.
Most schools follow POT 1 confirmation dates.
Update dates per responses from Colette, SoPA, and Med School.
Only configure fall and spring terms, no confirmation in summer or year-long terms.
When updating on the Banner front end, be sure to select SZAECCP – Enrollment Confirmation Period option. This will open up a Page Builder form that will allow you to edit the table. The other option, Enrollment Confirmation Period Form (SZAECCP), is an obsolete custom form.

This table does not roll.
Use the saved table dump to create new SFRCTRL table for the configuration term(s) based on the completed POT template.
Once changes to the new file has been completed, send the new file back to Joe Van Meter, requesting that he import it.
