About CourseLeaf
Tulane University uses CourseLeaf modules to manage curriculum (CIM), the academic catalog (CAT), and class scheduling (CLSS). Learn more about CourseLeaf systems:
CourseLeaf approvers
Approvers in CourseLeaf workflows receive emails from the following address: “Tulane Office of the Registrar – Courseleaf” tulane@notify.courseleaf.com to notify them of an item in their queue that requires review.
The subject line of the email will begin with [CIM Programs] or [CIM Courses] or [CIM Misc] for CIM Proposals, [Catalog] for Catalog pages, and [CLSS] for CourseLeaf CLSS schedule requests.
Approvers should click on the hyperlink in the email received to review the proposal.
When you click on the hyperlink in the email, your browser should automatically bring you to the CourseLeaf “Approve pages” URL. Log in with your Tulane single-sign credentials.
Once you are logged in, you should see the proposals in your queue. Click on each proposal and review. Take one of the steps below (Edit, Approve, or Roll back) for each.
If you do not have the email with the hyperlink or if you are not seeing the course, you can log in to the CourseLeaf Approve Pages system https://nextcatalog.tulane.edu/courseleaf/approve/ and from the landing page, you will select the “[CIM/CAT/CLSS ROLE]” role from the drop-down menu in the center of the top portion of the page where you see the words, “Your Role.”
Once you find the item(s) to review, you should click on each and review each carefully including any included attachments such as the course syllabus (required for courses in the CIM course proposals) or the program’s assessment plan (required for CIM program proposals).
After review, you have three options
Edit Click “edit” and scroll to the bottom of the form to enter comments and/or to upload any additional documents that should be included in the proposal such as meeting minutes from a departmental or committee meeting approving the program, and then click Save. Next, click “approve.” This sends the form along with your comments to the next person in the workflow.
Approve Click “approve” if the proposal is acceptable as it. This sends the form forward in the workflow.
Roll back Send the proposal back to the initiator if substantive edits are needed. Click “roll back” and enter comments to send back to the initiator of the proposal.
