Grade roll schedule - REG_GRADE_ROLL_AND_GPA_CALC_C

This is a scheduled, overnight process that rolls any entered grades into history and recalculates students' GPAs. This process should be requested to begin on the first day of POT 1 for that term. This process runs for three years: the current year and the two prior.

Grade roll schedules

  • Download the current Appworx Schedules - https://tulaneu.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/REGISTRAR/pages/129073208

    • Filter for Module = REG_GRADE_ROLL_AND_GPA_CALC_C

    • Filter for the Schedule Name (column B) running for the type of term (Summer -SU, Fall-FA, Spring-SP, etc):

      • Fall:

        • REG_DLY_GRD_ROLL_GPAC_FA1

        • REG_DLY_GRD_ROLL_GPAC_FA2

        • REG_DLY_GRD_ROLL_GPAC_FA3

      • Spring:

        • REG_DLY_GRD_ROLL_GPAC_SP1

        • REG_DLY_GRD_ROLL_GPAC_SP2

        • REG_DLY_GRD_ROLL_GPAC_SP3

      • Etc.

    • Determine which schedule is running for the oldest term.  This is the schedule that needs to be updated to the current term.

    • During final grading periods, REG_DLY_GRD_ROLL_GPAC_GRD will need to be requested. This is the schedule that runs every 2 hours.

 

  • Email Help@tulane.edu, #banner, with the following info:

    • Module: REG_GRADE_ROLL_AND_GPA_CALC_C

    • Schedule: REG_DLY_GRD_ROLL_GPAC_XXX – XXX is the schedule that needs to be updated

      • Update the two term parameters to the requested term

      • Make sure that the correct Parts of Term are running (especially for summer schedules) by checking SOATERM.  If changes need to be made to the parts of term, include them in the request message.

NOTES:

  • Law School LS and LSO POTs never roll. LMJ grades do roll.

  • Med School has their own roll schedules that will need to be updated upon request by the Med School. Begin the Med School grade roll schedule when asked to open grading for a term.

  • If requesting REG_DLY_GRD_ROLL_GPAC_GRD, start and end dates for the schedule will also need to be given at the time of the request.

  • Update the Part of Term Code parameter to 1~AB1~BG1~BG2~BO1~BO2~BS~LMJ~PDI~PH~PH1~PH2~SO~SW

  • Grade Term = 202330

  • Start date = 8/21/2023 (the first day of classes)

  • End Date = no end date
