Navigating the Gibson Advisor tab
The Gibson Advisor tab allows a user to:
View a list of assigned advisees
Look up a student’s ID number
View a student’s schedule
Access a student’s unofficial transcript, degree audit, or request a grade change for a student.
All users must complete FERPA training prior to receiving access to the Gibson Advisor tab. (The FERPA training link will not work for affiliate employees. Please get in touch to be set up manually.) Contact our office to request Gibson Advisor tab access.
Access to the Advisor tab does not grant access to Degree Works by default. If you also need access to Degree Works degree audits, be sure to indicate this in your Advisor tab access request.

Navigating the Advising List
The Advisees tab lists all students you’ve been assigned to as an advisor. (See also: Viewing and managing advisors (SGAADVR) You can select a different term as well as how many records display per page. You can also use the Search field to search within your list of advisees.
The Search tab allows you to search for any students, including those not on your advisee list. You can search by student name or by student ID number.
Accessing an unofficial transcript
Using the Search tab, locate the student you’re looking for. Under Transcript, click the “View” button, which will open the unofficial transcript as a PDF.
