Producing batch Med transcripts for degreed MD students - REG_TRAN_PRINT_BATCH_C

This job will produce a pdf of Med MD student transcripts. The file will be sent to Kim Melerine (kmeleri@tulane.edu) who will print them on the official Med School paper. These transcripts look vastly different from the typical Tulane transcript.

Run Cognos report

  • CR-MEDS-012t - Degreed MDs

    • Enter the degree term when prompted

Prepare student list

  • Save the output from the above report as a csv file with the following format:

    • TERM_CODE

    • BANNER_ID

Upload the csv file into Banner

  • Banner form:  GUAUPLP

  • Process name:  Reg Batch Transcripts

Appworx request

  • REG_TRAN_PRINT_BATCH_C

Parameters

  • Batch Name - required

    • enter a meaningful name for the batch

    • typically the name of the Cognos report followed by the term code and date

      • (example: CR-MEDS-012t_202310_05-22-2023)

  • Transcript Type - required

    • select MEDS

  • Print Through Transcript Term - required

    • enter the degree term

  • In Progress Cutoff Term - required

    • enter the degree term

  • Export File Name (PDF) - optional

    • enter the desired pdf filename

    • typically the same as the Batch Name entered above

  • Default Printer - optional

    • defaults to TRAN_REG_1 but if a filename is entered in the above parameter, the file will not be sent to the printer

  • Official Layout - required

    • yes

  • Issued to - optional

    • can leave blank

Verify

  • open the pdf output to ensure it is the Med School layout

  • can check the students against a degree awarded report and/or official certified lists
