Batch Uploading Student Grades - REG_BATCH_GRADE_C

This process will batch apply grades to students in SHATCKN. The input for this job can contain multiple terms, multiple CRNs, and multiple grade change reason codes. Input file errors like missing grade codes, bad TUIDs, etc. will be reflected in the output files for the job - they will not cause the process to abort.

Prepare student list

  • Create csv file with the following format, with header record:

    • TERM

    • CRN

    • STUDENT ID

    • GRADE

    • GRADE CHANGE CODE (Reason for Change - OE, SG, IC, etc)

  • Upload the csv file into Banner

    • Banner form:  GUAUPLP

    • Process name:  Batch Grade Import

Appworx request

  • REG_BATCH_GRADE_C

Parameters

  • Run Mode - required

    • Run in Audit (A) mode to check output

      • Text output can be put into Excel

      • Compare job output to input file

    • Run in Update (U) mode to update student records

Verify

  • Check to ensure students’ grades have been updated in SHATCKN

  • Any errors indicated in the output file may need to be corrected manually
