Awarding a posthumous degree
A request to award a degree posthumously generally comes from the school. Requests should be referred to Colette, who will present it to the Provost for approval. Once approved, either Colette or other designee in the Registrar’s Office will contact the family to request the shipping address.

Who should be included in posthumous degree situations (Registrar, M&C, etc.)?
Should we consider a unique data element like an attribute to identify these students?
Use cases
Student was awarded a degree in summer/fall and have the Confidentiality flag, so they won’t automatically be included in the program. However, we can have them added to the program lists manually (need to work with Commencement.)
