Setting column, pagination, and filter preferences on a page in Banner
Overview
User preferences via the Settings menu allows users to set preferred settings for column, pagination, and filters.
Column: Manage column order and size
Pagination: Manage the number of displayed records
Filter: Manage default fields and values and the order of fields
Because pages differ in their content and display, settings must be defined on on each page relevant for the user.
Where is the Settings menu?
The Settings menu is located in the section header next to Insert, Delete, Copy, and Filter.
Setting and saving column preferences
Hover over the right border of the column heading which will change the pointer to an expand icon. Click on the right border and drag to the desired width.
Click “Settings” and select “Save Column Settings”.
Setting and saving pagination preferences
Click the “Per Page” drop down to select your preferred number of records in the view.
Click “Settings” and select “Save Pagination Settings”.
Setting and saving filter preferences
Click “Filter”. Enter your preferred filter values, change the order of filter fields, and/or change which filter fields display.
Click “Settings” and select “Save Filter Settings”.
Restoring default settings
You can restore default settings for columns, pagination, and/or filters. Click “Settings” and select the setting you’d like to restore. To restore all to default, select “Restore All”.
