Uploading language placement test scores - REG_LANG_PLACE_C

Language Learning Center (LLC) will send a CSV file each morning. (if it is not a CSV file, you will need to save the file as CSV or the job will fail). Save file as CSV, (file has no headers), save with DATE in file name. File is one column of TU IDs and one column with test score codes.

The file includes results for all languages.

Review the spreadsheet

Ensure all ID’s are the right number of characters; send back an email saying, “Line X is not a valid number” if the TU ID is incorrect; LLC will include on the next file to us or handle themselves.

Go to GUAUPLP in Banner

  1. Click on Manual File Upload

  2. Pick job from drown down: Reg Language Placement

  3. Click continue

  4. Browse for file that you just saved as a CSV file

  5. Submit File. Close the window after you see “Your file was successfully uploaded to “lang_place.csv.”

Go to AppWorx

  1. Once AppWorx is loaded, click the green play button in the upper left. (This opens the jobs list)

  2. In SEARCH field, enter the job name: REG_LANG_PLACE_C (C = Chain M=part of chain. Always run C if C exists)

  3. Double click job to run.

  4. Under Prompts in the Run Mode field enter “U”

  5. Click Submit and Close button at bottom right.

Go to SOATEST in Banner

Always check first and last TU ID record in SOATEST to ensure scores have posted in Banner.

Notes

  • These CSV lists can have as many as three columns of scores.

  • AppWorks job names have either a “C” or “M” at the end of their name. C = Chain M=part of chain. Always run C if C exists.

  • This AppWorx job only has two prompts. One is A and one is U. A = Audit, U= Update. Run in “update” mode.
