Law blind grading setup processes

Law blind grading setup processes

There are some Law School courses that are blind graded, the instructor will not see their students' names or TUIDs on their class roster. Every semester courses need to be set as blind gradable (SZABGCR) and students need to be assigned blind IDs. Occasionally an individual student’s blind ID needs to be reset, and can be done so using the Appworx process REG_BLIND_CREATE_BLIND_ID_M.

Resetting an individual student’s blind ID

Occasionally the Law School will request that an individual student’s blind ID be reset in the event they are concerned that a blind ID has been compromised. Blind IDs can be reset via the same Appworx process as above.

  • Appworx process:

    • REG_BLIND_CREATE_BLIND_ID_M

  • Parameters:

    • Term Code

      • Enter the grading term (usually the current term)

    • Student ID

      • Enter the TUID for the student whose blind ID is being reset

    • Reset Indicator

      • Y - to reset the student’s blind ID

  • It is always helpful to run an additional blind ID report (REG_BLIND_ID_REPORT_C) after any changes have been made.
