March College Advising News
From Katie McBride (Director, College Advising) on 3/19/24:
Happy Tuesday all,
I write today with some important updates from NTC College Advising. Currently, we are heavily focused on midterm grade outreach and support and priority registration.
NTC College Advisors have been reaching out to students with low mid-term grades via email and text message since last week. A final text message went out to students yesterday with multiple low midterm grades and no connection with our team since March 11, 2024. Our hope is to ensure that these students have connected with support resources as they transition to the latter half of the semester.
We are also prepping for registration for fall 2024. A quick note, our team will register Top Scholars on March 25, 2024, and March 26, 2024. Registration for continuing Tulane undergraduates begins on April 10, 2024. College Advisors will send information and resources to their assigned students in early April. There are a variety of ways students can connect with an advisor, including one on one appointments, as they plan their fall course schedule. Information about additional registration support events is included below:
Virtual Advising – drop-in virtual advising, during registration available from 9 am to 4 pm via Zoom
Registration Round-up – drop-in registration support in front of the ALTC, Tuesdays, March 19, 2024 – April 16, 2024, 4 to 6 pm, event details in WaveSync
Late Night Advising – evening drop-in registration support, 4/17/2024, 7 to 10 pm, event details in WaveSync
Drop-In Registration – drop-in registration support during the registration period, April 10 – April 19, 2024, weekdays only, 1 to 4 pm, multiple locations across campus
We are also working on updated resources from our team for students to utilize as they prepare to register. We hope you will share this information with students as you encounter them during the registration period. As you can see, our priority during this registration period will be connecting with and supporting students.
If you have any questions or would like more information about these resources, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Katie
