In the Refine Results pane, use the Tags field to search for the dates related to a specific part of term.

 Tags naming convention

Each event has 2 tags:

  • termcode_potcode - for example, PoT 1 in Spring 2024 is 202410_1

  • AC_potcode - for example, AC_1

Why this convention?

  • 202410_1 makes a lot of sense so that we can easily identify/search for lists of dates related to a specific PoT.

  • The AC in AC_1 refers to “academic calendar”. I’m not sure this is a useful tag, but I started using it to help disambiguate from other types of events should other units start using Localist.

PoT codes are based on the codes available in the Part of Term and Web Registration Controls tab. If you’re not in Banner, you can also use the codes in parenthesis seen on the academic calendar. These codes are needed on each event for each list to render correctly.

Enter the tag and click the Refine button.

Click on the event you’re updating.

Most changes are related to the event date. To change the event date, under Confirmed Dates, click the trash can icon. (The edit icon only allows you to change/add start and end times.)

Enter the event in the Start Date field. Click Save.

Click the back button to go back to your list of events. Refresh. Changes to existing events don’t require approval, so once you’ve updated your events, you’re finished.

Go to the calendar page and navigate to the respective calendar page and refresh. Review the part of term with the changed events to make sure all changes display.
