Blaine mentioned we can use an automatic feed to identify new employees. I’m not sure that’s necessary, but Colette’s expertise as access grantor would best inform. Because not all staff need Banner accounts/training, it doesn’t make sense to auto-enroll based on a feed of all new staff, for example. Staff who may not need Banner access may still need FERPA training based on the type of interaction they have with records.
Side bar: Is there anything in the HR paperwork that would indicate if the role accesses student records?
But, the automatic feed may make sense for faculty because anyone in a faculty role needs to understand their role in upholding FERPA.
