Advisors are maintained in SGAADVR.

In SGAADVR, enter the student’s ID and term in which the new advisor should be added.

If there are no other advisors assigned

Enter your ID number. Tab. Enter your advisor type.

One advisor must be indicated as primary (Primary Indicator). Save.

If there are other advisors already assigned

If the From Term is the same as the term you entered, click on the next available line. Add your ID number, choose your advisor type and Save.

If the From Term is different from the term you entered, click Maintenance. Select Copy Advisor. Add your ID number, choose your advisor type and Save.

To remove yourself as an advisor

Find your name in the list and click to select it. Click Delete. Save.
