Where Final Dates Live

Academic Calendar dates will live in the Part of Term Spreadsheet on the server.

NOTES

  • Unhide the dates on the spreadsheet if necessary

  • Any on the online Academic Calendar = Part of Term 1

  • Medicine 6wks are not online

Entering a New Date / Calendar Entry

Click the blue “+ Add content” link at the top of the page

  1. On the Add Content Page, click the middle option, “Calendar Milestone”.

  2. On the “Create Calendar Milestone” page, enter the following:

    1. Title – the format is very specific so you can easily search later: date, name of milestone, list all POT [ie. 1/19/2021 Classes Begin (1, BS, LS, PH)].

    2. Milestone Date – enter specific date matching the date in the title [click Show End Date when there is a span of days to cover (ie Mardi Gras dates, Spring Break dates)].

    3. Select Milestone Type from dropdown menu (do not need to select anything if the entry isn’t a particular type of milestone like registration or holiday).

    4. Milestone Description – Enter the exact description you want to appear on the calendar in this text box. (ie Classes Begin, Last Day to Drop without Record).

    5. Expectations – Add any extra text required for a calendar milestone (will appear underneath the date/description in italics).

    6. Academic Term – Select the Year and all POT that should have that date (for the POT, multiple POT can be selected from the dropdown by clicking “control + click”).

    7. Posting Options – Click the radio button next to Academic Calendar and uncheck the box next to “Display on homepage”.

  3. Click Save.

Changing an Existing Date / Calendar Entry

  1. Enter the calendar date/entry in the search box at the top left of the page and click the APPLY button.

  2. Locate the date/entry you wish to change and click “EDIT” link on the right.

  2. Update the fields (per above for new entries) that need to be altered. (remember that changes will affect ALL POT that are selected in the dropdown menu).

  3. Click Save.

Options

On the Operations Page, you can choose to unpublish by:

  1. Check the box to the left of an entry.

  2. Select “Unpublish” from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click execute.
